Jakande Estate, Lagos
One of Lagos's largest and most established low-cost housing estates, in Isolo — built in the 1980s under Governor Lateef Jakande and still one of the mainland's most affordable large estates.
Jakande Estate in Isolo was one of the flagship low-cost housing schemes built under Lagos State Governor Lateef Jakande in the early 1980s, and it remains one of the largest and best-known estates of its kind on the mainland. It sits within Oshodi-Isolo LGA and continues to be valued for genuinely affordable housing in a fairly central location. There is also a smaller, newer community also called "Jakande" further out on the Lekki–Epe corridor in a different LGA — this profile covers the original, larger Isolo estate.
